Angel's Medical Care

Angel is a 5 year old Rottweiler rescued from a terrible life in Everglades. She was living outside in very rough conditions, abused and having litter after litter. Despite all the mistreatment, she is still the most gentle dog you will ever meet. Sweet, calm and loving. Upon her rescue she was terribly emaciated, had her eyes and ears infected, mange and was severely underweight. With love and care of Eddy's Dogs and Royal Canadian Pooch Rescue, she improved tremendously. Her infections and mange were gone and she was on her way to gaining the healthy amount of weight. At that point, Angel made her way to Canada and into the foster care of Street Souls Dog Rescue. She continued getting stronger and feeling better. Unfortunately, it was discovered she was heartworm positive, and so her treatment had began.  Angel is a fighter and went through three months of treatments, including three injections of immiticide, to get rid of the worms in her heart. The next two months will show if the treatment was fully successful.  Unfortunately, Angel is not done with her medical treatments. Having so many litters of puppies left her with tumours in her mammary glands. Once she is heartworm free, she will require two surgeries to have them removed. This is where we need your help ! We desperately need more funds to continue her medical treatments in order to let her live a happy and pain free life that she so deserves. Angel never asks for a lot. She just wants to be loved and be part of a pack. She is gentle and good with other dogs, cats, people and children. Despite of all the heartache she endured, she still wants to trust people. She is learning to be a happy dog, she now knows it is ok to feel joy and to be playful. Everyone who meets her, instantly falls in love with her. If everyone could be as forgiving and as loving as she is, the world would definitely be a better place. Please, help us help her reach that ultimate happy ending as she already came a long way from her lonely days in Everglades. Thank you <3
