Roys Cancer Donation Drive

As a recent single father of two young girls, breaking even more bad news to them; " Dad has cancer", was not easy...  It's hard enough to accept the fear and uneasiness on my own terms.  Creating this campaign is also a difficult thing to do, being too prideful and sentimental as I am.  It's hard, most times, just telling people and asking people that you need help, even when you need it and help is offered.  Yet, despite the diagnosis and difficulties, I have been extremely humbled by so many people that have helped and have shown just how much they really do care.

At one time, laying under the invisible lasers of radiation treatments, I can remember thinking just how truly lucky and loved I am.  The family just outside the doors with their fingers crossed, tissues at hand and the friends calling, messaging and even crying right there with me. Yea, I do cry, A LOT! I told you I was sentimental.  And I remember thinking (and still to this day) thinking how can I ever pay forward the gratitude that I felt... And, here I am, once again, wondering how to pay back for this gratitude to everyone donating their money and compassion to this cause.

While, tumor lodged in my ribs and cancer in my blood may continue to challenge me physically and even emotionally; mentally, I'm pretty confident that I have enough people around me to keep me fighting the good fight!  Financially?  Well, that's a whole other ballgame! But, here is where You can make, yet again, a difference in helping me cover all the bases and prepare for the ongoing medical mountain of bills that keep adding up fast and furious.
However!  I want and I need to do this with a twist.  I already digressed the sentimental side but it's extremely important to me that you know  how I'm dealing with the prideful side.  This is how I can give back!  And also how, together, we can all give back.

Many people that do know me know that I am an artist. Many also know that I am also a CUBS fan-lifelong! That said, I have created multiple donation levels, each offering different packages of my original art designs feauturing wall murals as large as 3'X3'! Levels of donation range from $50 and up.  Not a CUBS fan or just want to help out a little?  No worries because every donation counts.!  My hope, like the CUBS have been doing with the baseball, is to knock cancer out of the ballpark!

And that's not all.  There are many people, many of them children, also struggling with this disease known as cancer.  It's with great humility and compassion that I will also be donating 20% of the raised donations to the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation, www.rizzo44.com to help others that are battling as well.

Single Father I may be, but,I could not be more grateful for the multiple number of friends, family and caring people I am surrounded by.  Cancer can't win! And besides, my daughter's don't carry those baseball bats
for nothing!

Thank you!
