Roy's Big Hearted Adventure

LET'S HELP ROY ON HIS BIG HEARTED ADVENTURE TO EASE THE WORRY OF LIVING WITHOUT A PAYCHECK FOR WEEKS AS HE HELPS ANOTHER IN NEED! ANYTHING YOU CAN GIVE TO HELP THIS KIND HEARTED SOUL WILL ADD UP AND KEEP THIS STRESS OFF HIS PLATE AS HE WORKS ON HIS OWN RECOVERY.

Roy's Story:  "I have an associate who's son has brain cancer. After several surgeries this year he is still suffering due to aggressiveness of this type of cancer. This employee takes his son to treatments every Friday and spends all day in the medical center. He's a great father and I can see the pain in his eyes daily. 3 months ago he found out that his diabetes medication has destroyed his kidneys which are now in full failure. With a family, NYC mortgage and ill son he can't afford to take any time off from work. But at work he is 110% every day, even with severe pain. After much testing, blood tests, cat scans, meetings with shrinks, surgeons, financial professionals and advocates, I was officially told on Wednesday that I was able to donate my kidney to him. It turns out I am in exceptional health now, except for slightly elevated cholesterol and a gut (due to having children). The hospital is providing me a nutritionist, free of charge and they believe this will help my little bit of cholesterol issue. Since I don't have any vacation or disability time left after my back surgery, my company has been amazing enough to say "dont worry about the time you need". I will however  have to tighten my belt in order to survive up to 6 weeks without a paycheck. I was really amazed to learn how bad some people's situations are. The transplant surgeon told me that without a kidney Randy wouldn't last a year and he is currently 10 years out on the list for a donated one. I count my blessings every day and am grateful for my family, friends and for what I have been fortunate enough acquire in this world."
