Hi my name is Maureen Houston and for most of my adult life I have had a yearning to go on a medical mission trip to help those less fortunate! Well 2016 is the year to make it happen. I will be going with my niece Brianna who is a nursing student at URI in Rhode Island, this is a very special trip to us and to be doing together!
This summer, June 4th-11th, I've decided to take the next step to make my dream come true. I will be participating with an organization known as ROWKIDS by doing a medical mission trip to Belize. We will be visiting children in villages that are less fortunate to have the things that we may take for granted in our everyday life. In a whole effort, as a group, we will help in providing safe and clean water, education and health services to the kids. ROWKIDS is dedicated to breaking this chain in a vicious cycle of poverty these locals live in within these villages and I couldn't be more honored to be a part of that.
My overall goal is to raise $1600 for airfare and lodging but I need your help! If you could please consider making a donation, small or big, it would be highly appreciated and would truly mean the world to me!
