Toby Rothfuss and his young family of four escaped a devastating house fire on January 31, 2019. They lost their beloved cats and ALL their belongings in the blaze that destroyed their home in East Bloomfield, NY. They walked away with only the clothes they were wearing and have no insurance.
Thankfully Toby was able to get his family out of their home safely. Their house was attached to apartments (formerly a motel) where the fire started. Toby went door-to-door to try to alert those sleeping and unaware. He no doubt saved lives.
The Rothfuss family is currently staying with relatives and will need to rebuild from scratch. This young father is a custodian at Pittsford's Mendon Center Elementary School and the school community is collecting clothing and bare essentials for this family of four, but without insurance, they will need much more. We hope this page will assist them in securing housing, and provide replacement furnishings, clothing and food.
As if this tragedy isn’t enough to shoulder, one family member recently endured serious medical issues. These young parents of two young girls can use any support you can provide...large or small, all contributions are appreciated. Thank you!
