Rosetta D. Bearden Medical Fund

Rosetta was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, an Incurable Autoimmune Disease on
May 12, 1994.  Between 1994 and 1997, she  Became progressively worse & more unable to perform assigned duties & work due to:  Lupus, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Severe Anemia, Hypertension, Chronic Bouts of Bronchitis, Chronic Bouts of Influenza, Pneumonia, Pluersey , Internal Bleeding requiring Emergency Blood Transfusions and ultimately Surgery, in addition to Uncontrollable Fever Spikes. All, of which, resulted in repeated hospitalizations. She experienced more and more extended medical leaves w/o pay , due to being chronically  ill.   She also suffered Chronic Bouts of Alopecia, further crushing a self-confidence & already-shattered world.   In 1998, she had her first Bout with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF); Diagnosed with Autoimmune Disease, Fibromyalgia.  Diagnosed with Fibromuscular Dysplasia , resulting in HEMSI transport from HSV Hospital to UAB Hospital.  She developed the most severe case of the infamous “lupus butterfly rash” ever seen in UAB history.   Rosetta was declared permanently medically shortly thereafter.  At present, Rosetta has an enlarged, life-threatening mass, dangerously close to major organ and has potential for rupturing.  Due to all of the aforementioned, and twenty-two (22) years of contending with one illness and condition after another, Rosetta has been totally unable to return to work, after the physical downward spiral that began in 1994, striking her with one devastating health blow and physical & financial crisis and challenge after another for a period of 23+ years now.  However, Rosetta needs to aggressively begin weekly intravenous, strictly-out-of-pocket modalities and various other therapies & treatments, all designed to halt its progression & growth, and ultimately restore health.  But, she obviously needs your, and my, financial assistance.  The funds donated are needed IMMEIATELY so that treatment can be started to counter the aforementioned life-threatening mass.  Thanking you in advance for your prayers and support of this very courageous daughter, sister, aunt, and beloved friend to so many.
