Hey everyone
As you know I am a professional actress who has lived and trained in New York City for the past four years. I have decided to try my luck in the directors chair and I am putting up my first show ‘Rosemary with Ginger’ by Edward Allan Baker.
I am directing and producing it 100% on my own and feel so strongly that it is important to share women’s stories and as a female director I want to work with strong females and help them share their voices. I think that there aren't enough repertory theaters for actors to be able to just tell their story or share someone else’s.
It is an all-female cast and I am really proud of their work so far.
We are currently deep into rehearsals and are going to be opening at Under St. Marks Theatre March 29, 30, and 31st. On 94 St. Marks pl.
...As you probably guessed, this is not an inexpensive task and any help we can get from family, friends or supporters of the arts would be more than appreciated. If you know me you know I don’t like asking for help I pride myself in working hard and making my own money but this project is bigger than myself.
