Rose's Hip Surgery

Rose is a sweet 12 month old pup that was abandoned near my neighborhood on Valentine's Day. After getting her examined and a set of x-rays, it was found that she has a bullet in her thigh and a broken femoral head in her hip. I almost cried when I saw the images, and couldn't imagine how much pain she must have been in for months. The vet recommended a Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) and predicts a full recovery. We are raising funds to help pay for her hip surgery.
Despite her past baggage, she hasn't let anything keep her down. Rose is so happy and welcoming to anyone around her. She truly lights up the room when she walks in (on 3 legs). Her ability to continue to trust and love humans in the face of her previous abuse is truly inspiring.
When it became obvious that she needed medical help, I reached out to 23 different dog rescues and shelters. Not a single one has been willing to take her in to their organization due to her foreseen expenses, and the fact that she was a pitbull mix. I was completely heartbroken and dismayed. When I thought all hope was lost, a retired woman from a cat rescue reached out and offered to help cover Rose's vet costs until she could be adopted. Over the last two weeks, this woman has become my friend, and I am forever grateful. I was given a budget so we could get as much done to fix Rose up as possible, but this hip surgery will exceed that budget. I am asking for donations to help cover the difference, and to give any remaining money back to this angel donor that I can.
I know that Rose will become an incredibly special member of someone's family once she is all fixed up. I have poured my heart and soul in to her care, and will be forever grateful to those that helped along the way.
