ROOTS Africa, an undergraduate student organization at the University of Maryland, is here to collaborate with youth organizations across Africa to learn, share and apply practical solutions to agricultural issues.
We have partnered with the Liberian International Christian College (LICC) in Ganta, Liberia and are traveling in March to work with neighboring villages to improve agricultural production and marketing. In hopes to continue to increase agricultural knowledge and interest, ROOTS Africa is donating books to the extremely limited agricultural science section of the LICC Library. Here is a small list of many books that we will be donating:
- The Stockman's Handbook (by M. E. Enstminger)
- Insect Pests of Farm, Garden, Orchard (by Ralph H. Davidson & William F. Lyon)
- Westcott's Plant Disease Handbook (by R. Kenneth Horst)
