Rooting for Rudy

Donation protected
In early March Double Dog Rescue shared the heart wrenching yet amazing story of Rambler (now RUDY) our brave woebegone orphan.  His journey from abandoned, hit by a car and left on the side of a country road, to a week in the shelter without medical care, to rescue, suspends belief and defies understanding.  When MS rescue learned of his tragic situation they whisked Rambler out of the shelter and into a veterinary hospital where it was obvious that emergency amputation had to be performed on the injured leg. Rambler came through the initial surgery with limitless resilience and boundless enthusiasm.

Double Dog Rescue, in conjunction with Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter, went about rehabbing this amazing pup and searching for a permanent home all his own here in the Northeast.

Unfortunately the severity of Rudy's injured leg has had unexpected complications and now our super trooper pup is in need of further surgery.  There is little doubt that this astonishing pup will once again meet this medical challenge with his customary resilience.

When a rescued pup requires extensive medical care, costs can become prohibitive.  In such cases we are forced to rely on the generosity of our fans.  DDR needs to raise over $1700 to offset Rudy's protracted medical care.  Please consider a small donation to our medical relief fund.  By helping one deserving pup, we can continue to help all future pups needing our assistance.
