Raising Hope for Ron
The EWG educational community has come together to support our dear friend and colleague, Ron Rounds. Ron has recently been diagnosed with both ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) and myasthenia gravis and is facing an uncertain future. However, Ron, his wife Julie, his family, and his many friends are filled with hope that a breakthrough treatment will be available to him as research continues to unlock the mystery of these diseases.
Ron has been a member of the EWG educational community since 1992, first as a teacher in the English Department and now in the Business Media and Technology Department. Ron’s tenure here has long surpassed the role of teacher…he is a friend, a confidant, a counselor, a trainer, an adviser, and an all-around guiding individual who has touched the lives of countless students, faculty, and staff members. He is always quick to help others and selfless in his actions. His greatest joys here at EWG have been enriching the lives of his students as they interact with his wit, intelligence, humor and expertise.
Ron has been with us here as we watched his family grow to five children and now four grandchildren. He is a true family man who values the security and stability of the life he has created with them.
It is because of all of this we ask you to join us in Raising Hope for Ron so we can provide him with whatever his journey needs going forward. It is our goal to alleviate his medical costs as well as provide him with a safe and stable home environment as need be. We also ask for your continued thoughts and prayers for Ron, Julie, and his family. Thank you for your unwavering support.
