Ronald McDonald House - Red River Valley - Wishes

Donation protected
On, October 6th, 2017, my grandson, Wesley was born at Essentia Hospital in Fargo, ND.  He had a normal birth, but several days later was rushed back to the hospital.  The medical staff could not get a sugar reading at all and his oxygen was low as well.  This caused swelling of the brain and when the brain settled, it settled incorrectly in several lobes and caused neurological damage.  He has a conditional called Hyperinsulinism. Wesley was in and out of the hospital, took several daily shots as well as other medications.  Wesley was able to go to Texas and have surgery to remove part of his pancreas this summer.  While there, his parents and grandmother were able to stay at the local Ronald McDonald House.  This kept them very close to Wesley and helped with their immediate needs.  While the surgery cured a portion of his health problems, not all.  Today, he continues to take medications, but no longer has to have several painful shots per day,  and we are awaiting the long term effects of the condition.

On July 19th, 2011, my grandson, Kaelen, was born 10 weeks pre-mature at MUSC in Charleston, SC. Kaelen weighed only 1 lb. 14 oz. and was in the NICU at MUSC for almost three months. His parents spent quite a while at the Ronald McDonald House in Charleston so that they could be close to Kaelen at all times. He was a tiny little miracle baby with a very uncertain future. Today, he is a healthy, 7 year old with autism and a few other issues. For this reason, the Ronald McDonald House will always be near and dear to my heart due to all they provided for our family during our time of need.

Today, I am a Tupperware consultant and would like to help Ronald McDonald House Charities in Fargo with items on their wish list. This list includes Tupperware products for their kitchen. Through the generosity of Tupperware, certain items can be purchased from our Fundraiser Catalog, and I would like to use the funds to purchase the items that they are in need of. In addition, Tupperware will send a check for 40% of all proceeds for the items that I am able to purchase directly to the RMHC.  It is truly a win-win for the Ronald McDonald House. They are able to get all of the items on their wish list and 40% in additional funds. I would really appreciate any help that others could provide with the fundraiser. This is truly a wonderful organization that helps many families during there time of need. This Holiday Season, I am seeking to help them with some of their needs at this time. Thank you for any donation you can offer.
