It is with great difficulty that the family of Ron Babiarz is reaching out to you asking for help to pay for funeral and medical expenses.
On September 19th Ron had a massive stroke, slipped into a coma and peacefully passed away on the evening of Saturday September 22nd, 2018 at the age of 64.
Ron was hospitalized in ICU and on life support for four days at a cost of approximately $10,000 per day. His medical care included, 4 CAT Scans, an MRI and an Angiogram and much more. Medical expenses for his care are estimated to be over $40,000.
During their 23-year marriage Ron’s loving wife, Lisa, 55 was the family’s full-time homemaker and caretaker. Together Ron and Lisa raised five children and were foster parents to an infant boy and two young sisters. As the sole financial supporter for his family, Ron passed on without life or supplemental insurance,, he simply wasn’t able to afford it. Ron and Lisa spent over a decade caring for their son Clint who suffered from leukemia and multiple other cancers. After receiving the life-giving donation of bone marrow from a stranger, and now life-long family friend, Clint has been many years cancer free and thriving. Due to Clint’s cancer and years of medical treatment, they don’t have much left in saving to cover these large medical bills and funeral costs, which is why we are reaching out for your help.
Ron was a devoted husband and family man, spent his life giving, and even in his passing Ron was able to give the gift of life to two people in need of a kidney. On Saturday evening after many tears our family finally had a moment of joy. The call we hoped for but were not sure would happen, Ron’s kidneys were viable for organ donation, and during the evening of his passing two families lives were changed forever when they got the call to come into the hospital for the kidney transplant that would help prolong and improve the quality of live for their loved on in need. Suddenly our tears of sorrow turned to joy as we imagined the families of the two recipients celebrating the life-giving donation Ron made. To find a moment of light through his gift was a blessing. Ron was able to pass on to two other families’ the same gift our family had received, a life giving donation. Ron is our hero, he will never be forgotten.
