Rohingyas living in Arakan (renamed Rakhine Province of Myanmar) are facing ethnic cleansing in the hands of Myanmar's ruling regime and violent armed civilians.
According to #UNICEF, 400K Rohingya have fled to Bangladesh from violence so far. Those who have made it to Bangladesh are in poor condition. Most have walked for days from their villages – hiding in jungles, crossing mountains and rivers with what they could salvage from their homes. They are hungry, weak and sick. Among them at least 200K are children.

The law in Myanmar does not recognize the Rohingya ethnic minority as one of its "national races" and they are effectively denied citizenship. Human Rights Watch describes the Rohingya as one of the largest stateless populations in the world. "Restrictions on movement and lack of access to basic health care have led to dire humanitarian conditions for those displaced by earlier waves of violence," the group addeed.
"The humanitarian situation it is catastrophic," Mr. Guterres, Honorable Secretary General of the #UN.
According to #UNHCR, life-saving assistance needed as Rohingya influx surges. In addition, refugee camp capacity exhausted; thousands in makeshift shelters.
Brother of this tired child letting him sleep after a long journey. These brothers have lost their parents and were fleeing to Bangladesh. Their journey continues!
We, Riaz Faride and MJF Rupom are pleading for your contribution of ANY amount to help these Rohingyas in need.
Your donation will be sent to #UNHCR, who continue to identify the most vulnerable refugees, such as unaccompanied children, women, the elderly and disabled, in need of shelter, food, water and healthcare.
Thank you for your support.
