My friend Roger is a retired Vietnam veteran and fantasy writer who has been diagnosed with a non-aggressive form of lymphoma. He's been willing
to make use of my knowledge as an herbalist, but we lack the funds for a continual supply of the herbs he needs for his recovery program.
He is on a very tight fixed income, and my wife and I don't have much to spare most weeks.
I started this funding campaign for Roger because now his MD is talking radiation. I will not stand by and watch my friend who laid his life on the line in service be rewarded in final by the friendly fire of modern medicine. Radiation is a carcinogen, and I know plant medicines can do better.
He deserves better. He has a fantasy trilogy to finish and publish, plus a son and daughter he wants to spend quality time with.
He also has chronic cellulitis and I'm already customizing extracts for topical application on the site of the cellulitis, but I've run out of money. Raw bulk herbs are cheaper and I can make the extractions myself as needed.
During recovery his nutritional needs for vitamins and other supplements may increase. He's currently anemic, and has little or no money for proper quality supplements.
I am applying my training and knowledge as an herbalist and will do whatever it takes to help my friend recover his health. He may also need help from a Naturopathic Doctor.
