Rod Tinworth Family Fund

At the young age of 47, we lost a husband, father, friend, and all round gentleman.  Rod was affectionately known as 'Tinnie' to his mates and grew up in Cooranbong attending Avondale School.  Tinnie started his working career with Sanitarium, then went onto serve our community as a policeman and most recently at the Adventist Retirement Village.  

Throughout his lifetime sports and music played a significant role in his life.  He was often seen running in the local area, yet he was never too busy for a chat.  Tinnie loved all sports from body boarding to triathlons but his greatest sporting passion was cricket.  Tragically, last weekend Tinnie collapsed batting for the Bonnells Bay Hotel Cricket Team.  

He found the love of his life in Mel and together they were blessed with two beautiful young daughters.  Music was a common bond between them and often he would bring joy and laughter with his outrageous outfits.  Recently, his eldest daughter performed in a leading role at her school musical continuing his musical legacy.
