Rod Cina Cancer Fund
Donation protected
Rod is a entering his 20th year of teaching 5th grade at St. Joseph’s in West St. Paul. It is a passion of his, and his students absolutely love Mr. Cina! He is married to Kala and has a 15 year old son, Edward. Kala works at the VA Hospital in the retail store and has been there for the past several years.
Rod enjoys painting miniature models of planes, fantasy football and playing Historical American Civil War games on a 3D terrrain table. He also enjoys catering to his son’s adventure outings to the Mall of America and paying for lime scooters for Edward to crusie around Harriet Island.
In the end of June of this year, Rod was diagnoised with advanced Colon Cancer that has metastasized to his liver. He begins treatment on Monday, July 15th and will continue chemortherapy over the next 4-6 weeks. If his treatment is successful, he will be scheduled for surgery to remove the tumors that are located in his colon and on his liver.
We are setting up this fund for the Cina family to help offset medical expenses, household needs and other unexpected life events that require funding. Since Rod’s income is essential to their family, this fund will help alleviate the financial stress that comes along with the high cost of cancer care. Any and every donation is greatly appreciated and helps in more ways than you can imagine.
