Rocky the Pug's Life Saving Surgery

I have opened this gofundme because my baby Rocky has gone through a life threatening emergency surgery.
Saturday night we came to Los Angeles to visit family. Later on that night, Rocky woke me up. So I took him outside so he can relieve himself and he couldn't. He drank water and we attempted to go back to bed. He later woke me up, whining and crying in pain. I took him outside again and his belly had extended out past his rib cage and he was not urinating. I took him to the emergency room here in Los Angeles. The veterinarian explained to me that his urethra was being blocked. They found that not even a catheter could be inserted in. They had to empty out the bladder by puncturing it using a needle. So with further examinations they found that Rocky's urethra was completely full of sediment. They had to perform surgery to clean it out but when they went in they found that this sediment was like a sand, packed inside and was acting like a glue or cement. They had to re route his urethra to a different opening in the body so he would be able to urine. They said it was a difficult surgery, but they had successfully cleared the urethra and re routed it to where his scrotum would be. My Rocky was in tact but because of this he had to be neutered. He is now recovering in the pet hospital. He is sedaded and on an heavy pain medication and iv fluids.
Rocky has been in my life for ten years, my first fur baby. He has been with me through some of my most difficult times in my life as my little support. I will do whatever I can to help him live his life to the fullest. He is full of life and even though the past few years he has been dealing with degenerative myelopathy, he is still an active dog that will run and not care if his legs are not keeping up with him. This surgery has been an emotional ride for me. A weekend that was supposed to be spent happy with family, turned out to be a trip that saved my Rocky's life. His bladder was so full that it could of ruptured if I would of waited any longer and his urethra had been stretched out to its limit. Pet medical bills are extremely expensive and I'm asking for help. Any donation will be used to pay for his medical bills. I greatly appreciate the support and love I have received in this stressful situation. Thank you again.
