Rock Rodriguez Medical Cost for Treatment

December 17 2018 Rock Rodriguez ended up at St Francis Emergency Room with signs of having a stroke. Many tests were run throughout the week to confirm. After MRI results we knew for sure he had a bleed but the physicians and specialists were still confused as to what caused the bleed. We had a follow up MRI 4 weeks later with the nuerosurgeon. We were expecting him to be released to go back to work and have a little speech therapy and be in our way to recovery. When the surgeon came in his look was totally unexpected. He asked questions about vision and headaches, which we answered. Rock was having more frequent headaches but we assumed it had to do with his brain bleed. Long story short he tells us Rock will have to have brain surgery, the MRI showed two brain tumors in his left temporal lobe where his speech was being affected. Two more MRIs were taken to confirm that the tumor was not a result of metastatic disease. Rock had brain surgery February 12th at St John’s in Tulsa Oklahoma. During the extraction a biopsy was taken to determine what sort of brain tumor it was. It has been determined that he does have a malignant tumor and will have to undergo cancer treatment. The prognosis is good considering the surgeon was able to extract 98% of the tumor. We are still recovering from the surgery and preparing for chemo and radiation. As a result of all of this our diet and eating habits have changed to a very anti- inflammatory diet. Our prayer habits have changed the most.
