My wife and I evacuated Rockport before Harvey hit and we are fine, but---

We had to leave my wife's car behind which may need replacing; it was parked close to our condo building that took a very heavy hit.

My wife is now out of a job as the  restaurant where she worked was totally destroyed.  We have a mortgage and bills to pay that will be much more dificult now.

We need some income until we can get back on our feet and pay the bills on time.  Once my wife finds a job we should be OK after that but finding another restaurant job will be hard and take some time as so many were damaged or destroyed in our town.

Anything you can send will be greatly appreciated!  My wife and I hate to ask for anyone's charity but we face a tough situation and an uncertain future now.

Once we either reach our goal or have enough to get by on for a while we will close this account and let everyone know accordingly.

Thanks to everyone responding (and not only for us but our many other Rockport and South Texas friends and neighbors as well).
