We are two middle school teams (Rock-G-Bots and RockBots 2929-A) from Miami, FL. After months of designing, building and testing our VEX / VEX IQ robots, we have classified to the C.R.E.A.T.E.  World Tournament and to the VEX / VEX IQ State Finals with the possibility to classify to the VEX / VEX IQ World Championship 2019 in Louisville, KY.

Both of these teams are world ranked!

Rock-G-Bots is the first "All Girls" team in their middle school and is one of the teams' favorite in all tournaments. Their dedication, ingenuity and craftsmanship ranks them among the best! Beware, looks are deceiving, they all are beautiful girls, but they are fierce when they enter the field!

The RockBots 2929-A is a team comprised of all sixth graders who started building robots only five months ago! These kids are truly exceptional and has ranked at the world level as a top 100 team and top 50 in the U.S.A. . Their programming skills and mastering of the "video game like" controls, has earned the respect of the top teams in the state, and most likely the world, at these tournaments!

Both teams members are gifted students who attend a Robotics Magnet Program in Miami, FL. These kids are the future of the country. Kids who are always innovating to make a difference in our lives. One of the gifted teachers said about one of our team members during their promotion last year: "This kid will most likely be known for designing your next Space X trip and working for NASA in the future".

Whether in technology or manufacturing, robotics is the future, Now! These exemplary students will make an impact! Please help them attend this life changing event by donating. We need to raise our funds by late March 2019 to secure our registration and travel arrangements.

Funds will be used to cover the expenses of lodging, transportation, shipping (robots) and tournament fees.

For more information about the tournaments please visit:

Thank you for visiting our page and for your contributions to the teams!

Team Rock-G-Bots and Team RockBots 2929-A

See you in Worlds!!!

HOT OFF THE PRESS...

Hello RockBots and Rock-G-Bots friends! We just came back from VEX Worlds Championship with excellent news to share.

Team Rock-G-Bots 9393G became the first Miami Dade Public Middle School to ever earn a ticket to the VEX Worlds Division Quarterfinals! Woooohoooooo!!!! This is a fantastic feat and we were excited to share this with you all. Claudia, Hellen, Emily and Jackie represented the Girl Powered RMS Rick-G-Bots proudly and worked tirelessly through both tournaments.

On the other hand, Team RockBots 2929A had an outstanding performance by not only qualifying to the Technology Division Finals but becoming the 5th ranked Team in the Division! Team RockBots 2929A finished the VEX IQ Worlds Championship with an impressive worldwide ranking of 33rd!!! Big shoutout to our young engineers Frank G, Brandon R and Brandon D who represented the whole
Team at this world class event!

We want to thank ALL of our donors who helped make this dream come true for some of our students/drivers/coders/builders and young engineers in general. Without your support and contributions we could not have made this possible for them. Very special thanks to our corporate donors Dyplast Products, Styropek USA and TMS for the generous contributions!

We also want to thank coach and teacher Rosa Rengifo for her continued support, mentoring, knowledge and dedication. To Mr. Charlie de la Hoz from Coral Park Senior High School for their support and lending hand. To Mirtica, Mimi, Ivón, Consuelo, Marta, Liliana, Malena, Alex, Robert, Eleyn and the rest of the parents/coaches for their unconditional support to the teams and students. For carrying all those boxes, putting up with the long schedules, driving the long hours through the night, dealing with flight delays and for ALL your patience!!!

We finished this season in a great way and filled with pride, satisfaction and humbleness but, looking forward to next season when we start all over again. Getting ready for Tower Takeover and Squared Away! Every one of our engineers started talking about these new challenges as soon as they were unveiled at the VEX Worlds.

Stay tuned because we will start our next season campaign sooner this year, where we may have an opportunity to travel to...

...China!!!

THANK YOU ALL, for your continued support!!!

Update on the Teams...
Our first CREATE US Open Championship.

The Rock-G-Bots Ladies had a solid performance making it to the finals of the tournament. Shared the stage with one of China's top teams and create a great alliance. We also had the honor of hosting Mr. Dan Mantz, CEO of the REC Foundation at our "Pit", who shared a few stories with the teams. Thank you Dan!

The RockBots 2929A had a great performance with the second highest skills score of the tournament falling short of first place by a mere split second. The team also made it to the finals with an alliance of our new friends from Arizona.

Truly an amazing learning experience for our young engineers.

While we prepare to go to the VEX World Championships next week, we want to say THANK YOU to all of our sponsors who have helped, and are still helping us making this dream come true.

As Vincent Fuster tweeted last week: "When these young engineers work all season long and experience accomplishments like these, that’s when they realize that perseverance, dedication and discipline really pays off. Top two in the nation in skills and top 12 teams in teamwork...WOW...!!!!"
