Rochelle Herman's Recovery Fund

As some of you may be aware, my little sister, Rochelle Herman, was involved in a serious accident on July 24th. She was struck by a car while out for her morning jog. The car, traveling over 40 mph, hit her causing major trauma to her head/brain. Through some small miracle she suffered no broken bones or catastrophic injuries below her neck. Multiple teams of neurosurgeons at Cedar Sinai worked on her for hours to save her life and give her a chance to fight and recover. We are happy to say the fight is going amazingly. She spent roughly a week in the ICU and was then transferred to the general wing of the hospital where she has continued her recovery for another week at the time of this post. She should be moving out of the hospital and into a physical therapy/ rehabilitation facility within the next few days. This is where the recovery process begins. As Rochelle works on regaining her memory and physical strength she will be unable to work, drive, and do many of the other things that make up daily life. We do not know how long this recovery and the subsequent recovery for her at home will take. We are asking that you assist her through this process so that she may be able to still fulfill her financial responsibilities. Unfortunately she carried no health insurance at the time of the accident. We have applied for financial aid and assistance through Cedar Sinai and the state of California. We hope to receive some support through these channels. As you can imagine the expenses of an accident like this are staggering. We ask that you assist as you are able. If you are unable to donate please remember that your support, prayers, and positive vibes are already making a world of difference and are greatly appreciated. She does now have limited access to her social media, so she will see any encouragement you wish to send her. The support of all of her family and friends has been astounding in these last two weeks. We ask that you help it to continue into her further recovery. We are beyond appreciative and will never be able to thank everyone enough.
