Robert William Tislar, age 33, a resident of Sterling Heights, Michigan passed on Friday, May 5, 2017. He was born on September 11, 1983 in Detroit, MI to Dennis and Pamela (VanDervest) Tislar. On November 5, 2005 in Sterling Hgts., he was united in marriage to the former Jessica Lynn Leonard.
This page is to raise money to cover the costs of the funeral as this was unexpedted and not something the family was preared for. The money raised will be given to Jessica and their children.
Known as “Biggie” to most of his friends, Robert worked as a roofer in the construction industry. He enjoyed working out and exercising, and always welcomed the opportunity to spend time with his children. Going to the drive-in theater in Detroit during the warm summer months with his family, became one of Robert’s favorite pastimes; creating lasting memories for his wife and children.
Robert will be missed by his wife Jessica, children Jayden and Kennedy, mother Pamela VanDervest, sister Robin (Alan) Ames, maternal grandmother Joy Schroeder, mother-in-law Elizabeth Elandt and father-in-law Larry (Laurie) Leonard. He was predeceased by his father Dennis Tislar, maternal grandfather Reuben VanDervest, and paternal grandparents William and Ellen Tislar.
