Robert C Bosarge Sr.

This is my dad, Robert C Bosarge Sr.  He's 85 years young, military veteran, and lives on a fixed income.  On Tuesday, February 27, a scam artist called his house, impersonated my 14 year old son (his grandson), addressed my dad as "pawpaw", and began telling him about the massive trouble that he had gotten into.  A supposed lawyer then got on the phone and convinced my dad to make a payment to them and he would be able to "bail out" his grandson but they would only accept Target gift cards.  My dad went to Target, purchased gift cards for a few thousand dollars, and then called the number back and gave the scam artist the gift card numbers.  While I realize that hindsight is 20/20, in that moment he was saving his grandson and he didn't see the red flags.  My dad is a great guy and loves his grandsons tremendously, obviously that was proven in his actions on Tuesday.  I realize that this was a terrible mistake on his part but several have asked to help him deal with this devastating blow, and for that reason I am setting up this gofundme page.  Please, please, please understand that we are not begging people for money but this is for the one's who have voiced that they want to help. Thanks in advance to all those that have asked to help my dad.  He has help hundreds of people throughout the years and this will hopefully help him recover from this evil act that someone decided to play on him.
