My College Tuition

Donation protected

Hello, my name is David Butler, and I'm a senior at Balboa High School, I'm currently admitted into San Jose State University, and I'm pretty sure it's the school I want to attend. Recently, though, I've realized I cannot afford the cost of the school right now, it's looking to cost around $14,000, with financial aid and grants. Now I haven't been slacking off this whole time, as I have applied to many different scholarships, and am working. I already have $4,000 saved up from just working, all I'm doing right now is applying to even more scholarships, and hoping to get them. But there is a possibility that I will not get the scholarships, and I don't want to have my admission rely on that possibility.  I've never done this, and It feels a weird to be asking for money from people who I know, or don't know.
I don't come from a rich background, my dad works as in retail, and we sometimes barely get by, and I wouldn't be asking this if there were no other options.  I don't want to take out a loan because that leads to debt, and no one likes that.
Here's a little bit about what I want to study, I'm currently majoring in sociology, but I'm planning to change that to Criminal Science. I want to study criminal science because I feel called to serve as a crime scene investigator, or somewhere in the CSI department. The reason for this career path is because I've always had the desire to get justice and catch the people who do evil acts to others.  I feel it is my job to help the families affected by any type of crime, by giving them the closure that everyone deserves to have.  Another reason for this career choice is because I feel like God is calling me to pursue this, and as a Christian, it is my duty to respond to such calling.  Even people who are nonreligious know that everyone has a desire that they feel like they are called to. We all have a calling in life, whether it's from God, or just our heart and desires, I feel everyone should have a chance to pursue them.
So please, take a moment and think about helping me out, making this come true, you can give as little as a dollar, or maybe you want to give more, it's up to you. But I just ask that you consider helping me out financially, it would be very much appreciated.

Thank you for hearing me out, David Butler.
