Road to the LPGA & a World Long Drive Championship

2021 is a year I am looking forward to. It takes money to follow your dream, even when you are staying with host families and traveling as cheaply as possible, so I spent last offseason coaching kids at the First Tee of the Coachella Valley as well as caddying at a private club, in an effort to save enough to fund this year’s playing schedule. I then spent this season trying to gain some more playing experience, as since college I have focused more on long drive than actual golf tournaments. This season I played in and gotten close to qualifying in two LPGA Monday Qualifiers, as well as the US Women’s Open Qualifier and played on the Women’s All Pro Tour (WAPT) down in Texas and Oklahoma. I also went to the World Long Drive Championships, after focusing on playing and not training for long drive this year, I made it to the quarter finals on national TV!

This year I need to focus on practice and my training this off season, so I can be better prepared earlier in the season.
