Road to Recovery: Laine Leslie
Donation protected
Laine Leslie was headed back from the holiday to The University Of Alabama where she is currently a Sophomore. On January 6, 2019 she was involved in an accident when a driver in the opposite lane began to pass other vehicles and hit Laine head-on. She was trapped in her car for an hour and a half with her dashboard on her legs until the jaws of life were used to get her out. She was then airlifted to DCH and then later to UAB hospital.
Laine has multiple serious injuries including two broken femurs, broken tibula's, broken fibula's, broken ankle, broken heel bone, lacerations to the bone, and more. Laine has already been subjected to multiple surgeries and will be facing several others. She is currently in ICU and is expected to be immobile for at least three months. She will then begin the long journey through therapy and rehabilitation.
We are so thankful Laine is still with us! She is a daughter, sister, best friend, dancer, sorority sister and so much more. Laine is a dedicated student making the Dean's list in the fall of 2017. Laine has a long road ahead of her and the expenses that she and her family will accumulate will be vast. Please help us give back to this family during such a difficult time.
Thank you.
