Bandit Needs Surgery

Hi everyone! My name is Parker, and this is my pet ferret Bandit. He is around 4 years old, and he is one of my best friends. He's very curious, and playful, and loves attention. He's great at taking naps and eating treats as well. His favorite pastime is stealing my shoes, especially when I need them. Haha. When he's not feeling good he gets very sleepy, and wants to be held while he sleeps. I took him to the vet because he has a small mass on his neck, and his fur is falling out. Though his latest vet visit showed he hasn't lost much weight yet, his missing fur makes him look so sad, and it breaks my heart. They ran some tests, and the mass is benign, but they told me it needs to be removed and sent to pathology. I'm a little confused and I'm doing research and listening to them closely, and from my understanding, there could be a possibility of it being adrenal disease. The surgeons said the pathology results would help determine if further tests should be done to help determine this. If the tests come back and they have a strong feeling it's adrenal disease, they could do a second surgery to place an implant that sounds very successful in treating the disease. However, if the test comes back and everything looks good and adrenal disease doesn't look like a good fit, then that will be incredible! I took him in for surgery, and unfortunately was confused on the price of the surgery and I had to pay all of it before they could do anything. The low estimate is $960, and the high estimate is $1250. I used the high amount because they told me to expect a few things that may not be on the paper I received. They told that he will be okay for a while, and that the surgery can wait, and to just monitor him for now. I've never been a person to ask for money, but I don't know how I'm going to afford this, and I want my little buddy to feel happy. Reaching the goal would be great, but honestly, anything will help.
