Okay, so here's the deal.
After a certain age, college was no longer on my To Do List. Eventually, there came a point in my life that I KNEW I didn't want to stay where I was at and college was MY way out. Now it's four years later and I can honestly say college was one of the best decisions that I have ever made in my life. It has provided me with so many great professional and developmental opportunities and I thank God every day for putting me in the positions that I am in today.
A while ago, I took a step out on faith and applied for the CSUIP Program (California State University International Programs) at Cal State East Bay,
& not too long ago .... I GOT ACCEPTED!! You could only imagine my excitement when I found out that I was one of about 100 CSU students chosen to go abroad and study in Florence, Itay.
The program is administered by a Resident Director and full-time local staff. The fields of study offered are architecture, art history, classics, history, Italian language, international relations, Italian studies, literature, political science, and studio art. My focus will be on Humanities – World or Western Civilization/History/Literature/Philosophy. I'll even be taking a required term of Italian.
I'm making this Go Fund Me because, IT'S EXPENSIVE! Attached is the estimated costs for this program so y'all can see where exactly all of this money is going. Trust me, I'm a hard worker.. I have 2 jobs.. but I can't afford this program on my own. PLEASE HELP ME. (:
Not only do I need help with pre-travel costs (plane tickets, legal documents, temporary accomodations, $500 down payment, etc.), I'll need help with my living expenses while I'm in Italy. I'll be abroad from August 2017 to June 2018 and my desire is to NOT have to work while I'm out there. I want to take this time in Italy to truly indulge myself in my study's and Italy's culture... AND TRAVEL! The last thing I want to worry about is where I'm going to live or how I'm going to "survive" in a foreign country.
Please help me make this dream come true. An opportunity like this doesn't come often for people like me. Lord knows, this is a life changing experience. Help me make it happen!!! Please(: I'm definitely driven and focused enough to make this experience worth your investment.
As time goes by, I'll be posting more pictures and videos to keep everyone updated on my preparations for leaving. The more people show interest, the more I'll post! Feel free to ask me questions, give me suggestions, or just drop some words of encouragement.
