Lorita "Reets" (Melvin) Crofford drove to the Emergency Room in Spearfish on Saturday, July 14, where she was flown to Avera Hospital in Sioux Fall shortly after arriving. Dawnita and Regina have been giving us updates on her condition and will continue to on Facebook and CaringBridge.org which also has a place for you to leave messages. The patient's name is Reets Crofford.
Reets is fighting a very serious infection that has caused other critical medical conditions. Reets will need long-term medical care during her recovery. Her family is traveling to Sioux Falls from Pierre and Spearfish to be with her. For part of her long-term care, she may be relocated to a location closer to her family. Many of us have wondered how we can help, along with the meaningful prayers that have been offered. After visiting the family, one of the things that would be greatly appreciated is to help provide Reets and her family with assistance with medical costs and travel over the next several months. We are looking forward to Reets making a full recovery and brightening our everyday lives.
