Help John Townsley build a Veterans Wing

John Townsley is a veteran of the U.S. Army with a huge heart for wounded veterans suffering from battlefield injuries, PTSD or other life controlling problems such as addiction and homelessness.

John served as a sniper with the U.S. Army Rangers for over 16 years and also was a helicopter pilot. After a near death experience and injury while serving in Iraq, John had to retire from the military. Being a former track star and avid bike racer, John felt called to use his athletic gifts to give back to his fellow veterans. Last year he started a ride for charity and completed a race from Memphis, Tennessee to Washington D.C. raising over $58,000 for Wounded Warrior Project.

Recently, John felt a huge burden to organize a new ride for charity to help support the Warriors Center Memphis Rescue Mission. John has decided to complete an even BIGGER ride this year to help raise money for the Warriors Center to complete their New Veterans Wing in their long term recovery program.

On September 1st, 2016 Veteran John Townsley will ride across the country from Los Angeles, California to Washington, D.C. This 2842 mile, one month journey will help support his fellow wounded veterans and assist Warriors Center Memphis to establish their new Warrior Veterans Wing.

John will be sponsored on his ride by his employer FEDEX. Donations to John's wonderful charity ride to support Wounded Veterans can be made on the rides GO FUND ME account.
