Richie’s Open Heart Surgery & Recovery

My son Richie is a husband and father,  a Firefighter/Paramedic for the city of Seguin Tx, and a worship leader at Northrock church in San Antonio Tx.  He was admitted unexpectedly to the hospital back in May & June after developing heart failure like symptoms and having other heart related issues. Richie spent 20 days in the hospital  during that time and it was decided after many tests and procedures that he would require open heart surgery to fix his issues. Richie unfortunately was in his probationary year at Seguin FD and would have to go on light duty for nearly 2 months awaiting the surgery. Richie was not even qualified for FMLA at work due to being probationary. His short time at work also affected how much leave he had to take off and cover the surgery. He will have to go into leave without any pay while being out for the surgery and recovery. Richie is currently in Methodist Hospital in recovery from the open heart surgery. He has a long road of ahead of him. He will be unable to work for some time and his ability to get cleared back to work is even in question due to the extensiveness of the procedure. I do know there is nothing Richie wants more than to go back to work as a fireman at Seguin. I am asking for financial help for Richie and his beautiful family for lost wages and medical expenses that are accruing throughout this process.
