On January 18 2019 our beloved brother, Richard (41) was admitted to the hospital in Athens, showing signs of suffering a stroke. He was unable to speak and paralyzed from the neck down. He had another episode while at the hospital. Hospital staff performed an MRI and confirmed multiple strokes and a blood clot . The neurosurgeon ordered emergency surgery to remove the four inch blood clot from his brain stem on the right side. The survival rate for the surgery they had to perform is only 10%. But survival rate without this surgery was 0%. By the grace of God, the surgery was successful and he is expected to make a full recovery! However, Richard is still being kept in ICU for monitoring as with this particular type of stroke, the first 5 days are critical to prevent recurrence. We are forever grateful to all of the wonderful staff and neurosurgeon at UT Health East Texas. All donations will go toward any expenses that arise during this critical time. Our family thanks you for your love and support.
We now also HAVE to figure out how to get his teeth fixed from the negligence of the Hospital from his most recent stay this week (01/30/2019). This is looking like it will be about another $5,000 (minimum if we are lucky) procedure as his bones are so fragile from all the Crohn's Disease prescriptions over the past almost 15 years now. This now is coupled with an additional week of not being able to work, is OVERWHELMING.
We cant thank you all enough for the LOVE, PRAYERS, THOUGHTS, HEALING, PEACEFILLED, LIGHT, AND LOVE ENERGIES YOU ARE ALL CONTINUING TO SEND US. WE FEEL IT AND LOVE YOU ALL RIGHT BACK!!! <3 <3
