Richard De Leon Medical Expenses

On Nov. 19 during an attempted carjacking of his livery vehicle Richard De Leon was attacked by two assailants both who were 17 years old.  During the attack Richard lost his right thumb which has basically left him unable to drive his vehicle which he uses to support his family. Richard has four kids and a wife, and he is the sole provider of the household.  In addition, this attack has also left him with a large amount of medical expenses which his family is not financially able to pay.

Richard came to this country in 1986 at the age of 17 looking for a better life and he has been a good citizen while providing a much-needed service of transporting individuals daily.  A resident of the Bronx, Richard and his family need your help. No amount is too small to help this family in need as they prepare for what's ahead of them.  While most of us will be spending the next couple of weeks preparing for the holidays, Richard and his family will be wondering what will become of them, with their father unable to work.

 The New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers and its Spokesmen Fernando Mateo urge everyone who can afford to donate to please do so, for a family in need.
