Raised by 36 people in 18 months
On 11/21/2017 Rich was diagnosed with Leukemia. Rich was told by his doctor that he should not work as a mail carrier anymore and may have to apply for permenant disability. He started Chemotherapy on 11/23 and he and his family have a long road ahead of them. Rich is a husband and father of four. Rich's wife is a nurse and is currently working multiple jobs to help make ends meet.  Any help that you can offer the Jennings would be greatly apprieciated during these tough times.

Thank You,

Tim Beaven

The Jennings just got a phone call from Tufts telling them that their copay for Neulasta ( medication to help make white blood cells after chemo) will cost between $5,000 and $7,000!!! All of the generous donations that you have already given have helped them out a lot, but they are going to need further assistance.

Good news Rich is cancer free for now!! If his blood count is good he may be able to come home early next week and plan for another inpatient stay with chemo after Christmas.

Julie Jennings posted this update on Facebook a couple days ago. Any support that you can give the Jennings will go a long way.

One week ago our life was turned upside down. I brought Rich to the ER for what I thought was a cold turned pneumonia. Rich was given fluids, had blood work, and an xray. A few hours later he was transferred to Tufts with a diagnosis of leukemia. Since then he has had 3 blood transfusions, a bone marrow biopsy, a picc line placed, and started intense chemotherapy x7 days (final day tomorrow). He will need another bone marrow biopsy next week, if there are cancer cells found he will have another 7 days of chemotherapy. If no cancer cells are found he will spend 1 more week in the hospital. Then he will return for monthly inpatient chemo lasting 3-5days, in addition to his many follow up appointments. Eventually he will need a bone marrow transplant. It will be a long road, but to know this is curable is priceless. We are feeling the love and support from family, friends, co-workers, and strangers. All of you have made this a bit easier for us and we are so appreciative, from Eileen Cahill Whitman starting a food train, to Tim (TJ Beaben) starting a gofundme, to many offers of help (driving kids, helping with laundry, help with Braeden), offers of gifts cards, gas cards, people calling and texting to check in, we are feeling the love and support that will help get us through this.
