Reyna's Vet Bills

Reyna is a 9 month old Border Collie / Blue Heeler mix that was given to my 82 year old father at the beginning of February of this year. A few weeks later on February 24th, my father suffered a fall which resulted in a badly broken right femur. He spent the next 2 months in a nursing home in Santa Fe to recover and do physical therapy. On April 28th my father had another fall which resulted in a broken left hip and he was readmitted to a nursing home in Los Alamos for recovery, where he still is today.
In my father's absence at home, I have been taking care of Reyna and his other dog George. On May 31st, Reyna dug a hole under the fence and escaped the yard. On her way home she was struck by a car and suffered a badly broken right hind leg. After reviewing x-rays, my father's usual veterinary clinic in Española advised me they were unable to treat her due to the severity of the break, so she was referred to another vet in Santa Fe. Ironically, she suffered the same femur injury my father has in February, both of which required a metal plate to repair the break.
The staff at the veterinary hospital has been wonderful and performed the surgery, however she still remains hospitalized there until we can cover her medical expenses. My father is on a limited income of social security benefits and has his own medical bills due to his recent injuries. Although I do work full time, I have my own family with 3 children to support. Therefore I do not have the means to assist him myself.
Reyna is a wonderful dog and my father loves her very much. Any help would be appreciated in getting her back home to await the return of her owner when he completes his recovery as well.
