Rex's urgent surgery
Here's my best friend Rex, our not-so-little, little puppy. Rex is a big-hearted super friendly husky/malamute mix who has racked up quite the reputation in our neighbourhood for having his stunning looks, playfulness with everybody, including small children and overall being the neighbourhood good boy.
So here's the problem, we were hit with a massive snowstorm here in Montréal on march 15th, I went to bring him outside in the morning to do his business but I wasn't able to hold him in the 2 feet of snow that we got overnight, and I lost my grip and he ran away... fast forward a couple hours in to the evening, we receive a call from the local animal protection saying they had picked him up and he had been hit by a car.
We brought him to get x-rayed and they are saying urgent surgery is necessary since he has a compound fracture (bone pierced the skin). Now we only have 2 options, either we pay the 3600$ surgery (+15% Tax) or we put him down because he shouldn't suffer..: He is only 2 and a half years old and It's my 19th birthday today (March 16th) so you can imagine I don't really favor putting him down On my damn birthday but I also am not financially capable to put him through surgery and neither are my parents... the website keeps 8% of the donations so the goal is slightly higher than the actual vet bill.. :/
So I'm hoping for something of a miracle here... I'm doing all this on the spot, we're in the car right now and just left the vets office so I apologize for typos and my story if it's badly written...
Please... anything helps
So please remember this is a matter of life or death...
