Revolution 13 is an organization who's mission is to empower student bodies. Offering presentations and lifeskills for teenagers who may be battling depression, suicide, bullying and the pressure of drugs and alcohol.
'School bullying statistics in the United States show that about one in four kids in the U.S. are bullied on a regular basis. Between cyber bullying and bullying at school, the school bullying statistics illustrate a huge problem with bullying and the American school system. ' (bullyingstatistics.org)
This fall we will be having a national school tour, starting with 7 different states and 30 schools. "Walk the Line" is a fundrasier for traveling expenses of the 'Reflect Tour' to reach more teenagers who are battling these every day struggles.
'Each day in our nation there are an average of over 5,400 suicide attempts by young people grades 7-12.' (Jason Foundation)
Tori Martin and the Rev 13 team will be walking 150 miles from the DFW metroplex to downtown Jefferson, TX. "Walk the Line" willl be starting May 26th and ending with a concert for the completion of the walk June 4th!
'Among adolescents, one in eight may suffer from depression. Of all these children and teens struggling with emotional and behavioral problems, a mere 30% receive any sort of intervention or treatment. The other 70% simply struggle through the pain of mental illness or emotional turmoil, doing their best to make it to adulthood.' (aboutteendepression.com)
After visiting a couple schools in Spring of 2016, students have reached out to us seeking help and guidance. Our team's greatest desire is to make a difference in these young adults lives. With your support we will be able to reach more students and make a larger impact for future generations.
