Retired K9 Windy Medical Fund

Windy is a five year old retired trailing dog from our local sheriff's department.  Over the past year, Windy has battled and won a medical condition that left her with a poor immune system.  Recently, K9 Windy was diagnosed with Valley Fever and upon retirement her health took a turn for the worst.  Pictured above is the team from California Veterinary Specialist in Murrieta receiving her on July 11th to get her started on IV fluids to prep her for a series of infusion treatments.  This team has taken amazing care of our hero since February of this year and they are working their hardest to continue to help.

Windy and her family have high hopes this treatment will get her on the road to recovery so she can enjoy her much deserved retirement.  If her body responds to treatments, she will have a long year of continued treatments, vet visits, and lab work.  Windy's dad set up this account for Windy to have immediate access to funds as she progresses through treatment over the course of the year.  This account is not affiliated with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department and any funds not used by Windy for her medical care will be transferred/ donated to the Riverside Sheriff's Association K9 Team Fund to assist Windy's other retired K9 brothers and sisters in need.  We will update you on Windy's progress as she continues her battle.  We appreciate all of your prayers, kind words, and continued support as she transitions from a life of serving others to putting her strength  into fighting for her health.
