Retire a Navy Vet fighting cancer

Meet Pat, a Navy Vet who has been fighting cancer for over a half decade. Pat is a father of four and husband of more than thirty years. He served in the United States Navy in the late 1970’s and started working as a painter early on in his life. After having four children he became an LPN and remains an LPN to this day. He dedicates his time to helping his family and others who are in need especially other veterans.


Pat was diagnosed with a form of leukemia and has been fighting cancer for the last seven years. He manages to continue working full-time as a nurse however this is largely due to not being able to retire and afford to live. The last couple of  years has been increasingly difficult for Pat and having to work full-time has begun to take its toll on his body. Pat has always selflessly given himself to others and his family. Pat is an all American father who will undoubtedly work until the cancer deteriorates his ability to function in which case he will be forced to stop working and thus loose almost everything he has worked his entire life for.

Pat never asks for help and is completely content with having to work full-time for the rest of his life. He does not burden others with his condition or deteriorating situation.  His wife is disabled and unable to contribute much financially.

Pat is a man who changes peoples lives daily and is from a generation that works hard for family and not for material possessions. It is most likely that Pat will never be able to retire before the cancer weakens him. Help us give Pat one last attempt at life and being able to afford to retire for the remaining years of his life. Proceeds raised will be used towards helping Pat afford to retire and enjoy treasured hobbies while he can still move around physically. There is no doubt that helping Pat will in turn help many others too because Pat is always trying to help everyone with what he can.
