Restoring The Meaning Behind a Home

We are rallying to help a woman feel safe again in her own home. Beatrice Stevenson has been displaced from her home since an outbreak of tornadoes hit the Lancaster area five years ago and has only been able to return four months ago.

Without electricity, Beatrice is forced to sleep in a chair in her living room, placed in front of a space heater that’s being powered by using electricity from a generous neighbor’s home. Without interior walls, a toilet, and many other daily living essentials, Beatrice was forced to hide in a closet during the storm that ripped off her roof, busted the windows and left the floors damaged. After running out of repair funds, contractors left Beatrice’s home and lawyers have even walked away after being unable to track payouts. “We are horrified behind Beatrice’s story and wish for her to return to a safer home.”
