Dear Friends,

I am writing today to ask for your help. As most know, I am a well known World Peace Advocate, who is making successful change worldwide. I've received both the Mahatma Gandhi Award and the Ralph Bunche International
Peace Award, and I am the creator of the World Peace Violin. You can review my work at: patrickmccollum.org

Over the last year, my eyesight has reduced by over 50% from my last prescription and it has gone down even further in the last 30 days or so. I am even having trouble driving now with my glasses on, even though I got a new prescription only 4 months ago.

Of course our eyesight is important to every person, but in my work towards world world peace, it is critical. I am also working on my new book which I hope to have done this year, but I am having trouble seeing the computer screen clearly enough to easily write.

I met with an eye surgeon and have surgery in my right eye scheduled for mid February. Then if that goes well, he will do a second surgery on my left eye around three months later. I have medical insurance to cover the surgery and my prognosis is good, but I will have to pay $2,100.00 up front which is not covered by my insurance.

As some of you know, I receive no pay for all of my work towards peace, and that has been my full time job for years now, and my only income is a small Social Security check.

I am running this Go Fund Me campaign to try to raise the $2,100 so that I can have the surgery and be able to see again. This is not for my foundation, this is for me personally!

Please consider helping if you can. This is a really big deal to me!

I have spent most of my life helping others, and now I need help myself.
