Choreographic Residency in HongKong
Donation protected
I have been selected to be a part of Hong Kong International Collective Artists Residency for Opportunities and Sustainability (HKICAROS) as one of the Resident Artists from May 27th - June 30th, 2018. This Residency will give me a chance to present my own choreographic work at the Hong Kong International Choreography Festival (HKICF). This program also offers workshops, company classes, and mentorship from internationally renowned artists.
For the past few years I’ve dedicated my life to exploring and training in various forms of dance and movement which have given me some of the most extraordinary opportunities to perform in Europe, USA, Mexico and Canada. After spending 2 years at The Ailey School, I started working at The Metropolitan Opera. Later on, thanks to Springboard Danse Montreal, I joined Aspen Santa Fe Ballet where I had the chance to perform works by Jiri Kylian, Cayetano Soto, Jorma Elo, Alejandro Cerrudo and Nicolo Fonte.
I am now based in New York City working as a freelance dancer, teacher and choreographer, currently performing in Nutcracker Rouge by Company XIV under the direction of Austin McCormick.
I have had the chance to present my choreographic work at various venues and festivals in New York, Miami, Richmond and Poland where I choreographed on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’, Poland.
Now facing this incredible opportunity in Hong Kong I hope to use it as a springboard in my career and to investigate more of my choreographic voice. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated as it will help me cover the costs of registration, travel to Hong Kong, and daily expenses.
