Rescue Simojoki Family Belongings

(a) anyone who hasn't donated yet but would like to has the opportunity to do so.
(b) there are further costs in the future (which is quite possible).

All donations will be channelled to Lutherans in Africa (Finland) for supporting the ministry of the Simojoki family.

In August, Tuomo and Leena  Simojoki and their 7 children sold their home in Finland and moved to Nairobi, Kenya, to work as missionaries, sent by Lutherans in Africa (Finland).

All their belongings were packed into a shipping container and transported to Kenya by sea.

The container holds everything the family owns: furniture, a piano and other musical instruments, electronic appliances, children's toys, clothing, the family library.

Owing to bureaucratic delays and corruption, the container is still being held in storage by the shipping company, which applies daily storage charge.

The cost of claiming the container is fast approaching $20,000. If the money can't be raised, all of the family's belongings will become forfeit and the shipping company will dispose of it.

A significant amount of money has already been raised, but there is still a funding shortfall of nearly $7,000  (£5,000).

Please can you help raise the remaining funds so that the Simojoki family don't lose everything they own?

All it takes is for 100 people to donate £50  ($70)  each, or 200 to donate £25 ($35).
