Aid for Trafficking Survivors
Tax deductible
Over the last three years I've been working with a number of amazing people in Omaha, Nebraska who are actively combatting human trafficking in our community.
One of the biggest challenges for organizations fighting this battle is locating safe housing for those looking to exit a trafficking situation.
Rescue Nebraska is an organization based in Omaha that offers a 24/7 helpline to anyone who is being trafficked to call and get assistance. Many times these calls are a request for safe housing, clothing and other emergency needs. Unfortunately, many local shelters don't offer emergency housing, and those that do are often full.
Rescue Nebraska needs funding to help cover the expense of emergency housing, clothing and other emergency needs while they locate a long-term program for the individual to enter into.
Our goal is to raise $5,000, which will help cover the cost of safe housing, clothing and other needs for the remainder of 2016, any additional funds will help Rescue Nebraska provide services into 2017.
Your donation helps save the lives of voiceless victims in our community. If you're interested in learning more about the issue of human trafficking in Omaha read this article .
(Note: Donations will be sent to Rescue Houston, which is Rescue Nebraska's parent organization, 100% of funds raised for this campaign will go to Rescue Nebraska)
