If you know Taylor and myself, you know we are the worst at asking for/accepting help (I do not mean that as a humble brag either, if anything it is a flaw we both share). To start this Gofundme is so hard for us to do. But I am painfully swallowing my pride, practicing humility and reaching out for anyone who feels called.
The reason for this gofundme: our sweet (7 yo) baby pug Rerun is in need of life saving surgery. He needs gastrointestinal foreign object removal surgery that unfortunately is our only option aside from the unthinkable. As of just hours ago (which prompted us to finally suck it up and create this) we were quoted a minimum of 2.5k-3k+ likely in the higher range, UP FRONT which we simply do not have. The financial aid options offered (credit plans) weren’t in our cards either. And no vet in the area accepts any other sort of financial aid planning for diagnostics & procedures. So this is our final outcry. Again, if you know us, you know our spoiled little bratty pugs are our WORLD and beyond. We got them both as rescues in Okinawa, Japan. Our “first born kids” are now Beckham’s best friends (especially Rerun), and we are rather obsessed with the stinkers- as anyone with pets I’m sure can relate. Rerun is the spunkiest, loviest, snuggliest, most mischievous dog and this has been absolutely devastating for us.
To end my long winded rant, please know, SINCERELY anything helps- including prayer, hugs (virtual and in real life), positive thoughts and energy etc. if you aren’t able to donate. Asking for money is always uncomfortable, regardless of reason- so only if your heart & soul feel called, we appreciate ANYTHING more than we will ever be able to adequately express. Truly.
