Replace Denver BSL is a community action group that is run and supported by Denver residents. Our goal is to replace Denver’s current breed specific legislation (also commonly referred to as a breed ban) with a robust, breed-neutral, dog safety law.
A breed-neutral safety law will improve public safety, reduce the incidence of dog bites, and come at a lower cost to the taxpayer. Current breed specific legislation is costly, ineffective, and a detriment to public safety.
Replace Denver BSL is organized entirely by unpaid volunteers, but unfortunately it costs money to achieve our goal. We have to spend money on printing posters, stickers, signs, event costs, fees for our website, fees for email services, and more! We are currently paying these costs out of our own pockets and that's not sustainable.
We need your help to make sure this campaign is able to go the distance! We want to ensure that we're able to see this effort through to the very end; until we see a safer, better, breed-neutral Denver.
We hold this group to the highest level of transparency and any money that's left over after Denver replaces BSL with a breed-neutral law will be donated to a local charity. Contributions are not tax deductible. Why? Because we're not a non-profit. We're just some private citizens trying to make a difference on our own time who don't want to go broke in the process :)
