Remembering Sadie Alvarado

Donation protected
On August 5, 2018 Brandy Martinez woke up to a mother's worst nightmare. Her only child, Sadie Alvarado was found deceased, in a ditch on the side of a gravel road.  Sadie's story is devastating and one that EVERY parent can relate to as their worst fear. And something no mother should have to face. Sadie's beautiful life was cut short way too soon, but we can tell her story and she can be remembered forever. Her story can help other girls in situations similar to hers. And we can be her voice.

Sadie was her mother's only child and she loved that. She used to joke around and laugh with her mom and friends about how nosey and attention loving she was. She was driven, funny, smart, vibrant, compassionate, the greatest daughter any mother could ever want. There's not enough words to express who she was. I'm sure you'll see many wonderful and funny stories from her friends being shared on social media. Sadie graduated from Muscatine High school, she then completed her associates degree last year at Muscatine Community College and was pursuing a nursing program at Burlington Southeastern Community College. She worked full time and was also a full time student.

Sadie's family and friends are upset with how they can't get Sadie's side of the story. It is also upsetting that when her story hit the news, it was over shadowed by another Iowa girl who is missing. She prays that Molly is found safe and returned to her family. But also wishes that Sadie's story can be heard all on it's own.  Her mother expressed that she is not looking for handouts because that is not the way she was raised. She also didn't want all this attention from her death. It's not going to bring her back to her. But if it gets her story out there, she is all for anything anybody wants to do to contribute.

Funds raised will be used towards living expenses from missing work, a headstone and a memorial fund.

Please take a minute to Share Sadie's story, pray for her family and donate if you are able.

Thank you!
