Remembering Greyson - Medical Fund

On January 4th, 2017 our lives were completely changed by our sweet boy, Greyson Thomas Seigneurie. I was 23 weeks, and 5 days pregnant. I woke up with extreme shoulder pain, and a painful stomach. I was hoping it was just a typical pregnancy pain, but could not sleep all night. Corey woke up to my pain and did a quick google search to find out what was going on. He read that it could be preeclampsia and called the doctor. We rushed to the hospital and did a lot of tests and ultra sounds. The doctors found that I had an 11cm hematoma (bruise on my liver) , my platelets were rapidly decreasing, and my liver enzymes were dangerously high. They diagnosed me with HELLP syndrome which is an extreme form of preeclampsia. The only cure for HELLP is delivery. A few short hours after an emergency C section, Greyson was born on 1/4/17 at 1:02 pm. He was 1 pound, 1/2 ounce. Once I was recovered a bit I got to spend every second with him that I could in the NICU. Corey and Greyson were my guardian angels by saving me that night. We knew it would be a long road to recovery, we started Kangaroo therapy which is skin to skin contact with the baby. His vitals would drastically improve when Corey and I were in his presence. On Thursday, the doctors did some tests and found acid build up in Greyson's blood, because of his gestational age this was caused by a slow bleed in his brain. We were called by the doctor early Saturday to come hold him. Corey and I both held him so he was not alone. God called him home on that morning.Corey and I are blessed to be Greyson's parents, and he will forever be in our hearts.We are starting this fund to help with medical expenses. Any unused funds for Greyson will be donated to the Alexander Center for Neonatology We cannot thank everyone enough for all of the love and support in these last few days.
