Rehoming Wild Hearts Rescue Ranch

Donation protected
Wild Hearts Rescue Ranch and Escalante Springs Equine Rescue and Rehabilitation have been serving abused and neglected horses for over 20 years combined. Both facilities offer priority to severe cases or long term need cases and provide excellent vet and hoof care, as well as having always provided space to horses too often confined in animal shelter situations. As we grew together as rescues and families, faced our own challenges as individuals, and more, it became clear our overhead would be reduced tremendously and that precious commodity, ROOM TO BE A HORSE, could be offered in even larger amounts. The climate wasn't optimal for human health or animal health, valley fever was popping up in every being, the heat was just tearing us down, and the inability to produce any graze was financially straining. Without any fundraising or help from donors at all, we secured a beautiful property for less than either one of the two smaller places cost,  and began to move our stock and home. We need 2 dedicated employees every day because we are not superwoman x2, fuel to the old facilities and back, the horse's needs here, including more shade, more panels, etc, hardware, now jackets for the foals and pony because they are cold or an enclosed entirely sort of shelter for them with heat at night... It's averaged between $300 and $400 a day for the move for about two weeks now. We aren't done. Probably another 4-5 days JUST to finish moving the horses and their items from the Wild Hearts Rescue Ranch location, and then on to our satellite location with six horses, and then on to Escalante Springs. Doing the budget for all that makes me want to cry. We yearn to see our herd free upon this beautiful acreage, but alas, the place that made the budget and our hearts sing didn't come fenced or with any equine facilities besides land and a shed. The perimeter of our property, which was surveyed for a generous $850 dollars, is 3.323 feet. It costs approximately $4 a foot to put horse safe, quality, and secure perimeter fencing up around all 15 acres, and that's without cross fencing any pastures. With a solid perimeter fence, we could use two rail vinyl or other more affordable options for cross fencing. We also need some panels and shades to complete the move, fuel, and help paying for some help! The amount of this fundraiser is less than our current need because it reflects my expectations of what we can pay for of the horses needs ourselves. I may adjust it one way or the other as I see what we can or cannot cover, or find cheaper deals on fence etc. Right now, aggressive price browsing and deal making has us at $4 per foot. That's 7ft no climb horse fence on t posts, soft capped and secured with really good hooks with a hotwire on top but we have all we need for hotwire. Quality, safety, protection. No silly fence accidents. We are 501c3 deductible, 100% of your donations go to the animals as the people support themselves, as well as help provide for the animals! Your contributions make sure our quality and care are available to more horses in need as well as offer the best life to those in our care. Our facility will soon be doing all kinds of equine and sustainable living eduction as well as several kinds of activity based therapies. Thank you for considering sharing your love with us so that we may share it with many more.
